Anxiety, Depression, and Grief Counseling in Lake Ozark, Missouri for Seniors, Caregivers, and Adults
Counseling in Lake Ozark, MO that helps Seniors, Caregivers and Adults overcome Anxiety, Depression, and Grief
Being at the Lake of the Ozarks has always been your dream
You retired to your favorite place in the area. You enjoyed retirement at first. In the beginning, you enjoyed taking your pontoon boat out on the Lake and enjoy the coves for swimming and fishing, taking your visiting family and friends to see the Bagnell Dam Strip, and avoiding Party Cove. You relaxed many afternoons at your favorite golf course in the Village of Four Seasons and surrounding areas. Above all, you enjoyed the community of people that exists at the Lake of the Ozarks.
But, you’re not the same person that retired with your hopes and dreams
Life changes happened, and now you feel lonely, sad, and like the You that enjoyed life seems so distant and unreachable. You may even feel angry, resentful, extra nervous and worried about your future, and you become emotional at the slightest things.
The people in your circle have noticed they don’t see you very often. You aren’t walking, golfing, eating out, playing cards, going to happy hour as much, or not at all. They miss you, but getting out is hard these days. It is scary to be with others because you wonder if you will have the energy to talk today. You don’t know if you will cry, erupt in anger, or just leave.
It hurts to feel this way and you want to be more like your old self
You want to feel better and be the person who has the hope and the energy to do what you love. You want to feel like you again, the person who isn’t afraid to be around others and talk with them and more peaceful when you are alone with yourself.
I can help you feel better
Through weekly sessions in my video office, you will receive the support you deserve and learn skills that can help you relax and take each moment as it comes. You will have space to imagine yourself as the person you want to be and work toward that goal. I want to hear your story and understand what you want from life, I want to know where you want to go. We will go at your pace, not mine, not someone else’s. Therapy isn’t always easy, but it can help you move away from the fear and doubt that have been keeping you stuck.
